Welcome to our December Meetup!
Watch this 15 minute video before the event: https://www.biointeractive.org/classroom-resources/origin-species-beak-finch The Origin of Species: The Beak of the Finch; This film explores four decades of research on the evolution of Galápagos finches, which has illuminated how species form and diversify.
Charles Darwin introduced concepts such as natural selection, fit for purpose and evolution – which later become the expression “survival of the fittest.” Though these concepts are often misunderstood or misrepresented, it seems to me that there are parallels when comparing how nature adapts to changing environments and how Agile coaching teams adapt over time to changing ecosystems and needs.
Join us to see how one company iterated on their coaching model and approaches to become more effective and relevant to the business side of Agility. See how three different ecosystems played into how our focus and approach evolved to fit prevailing context (era) at that period (goals, pros/cons of each.)
Key Takeaway: The approach to successful Agile coaching will evolve over time – be adaptive!

GET TO KNOW RON:
According to the Gallup’s StrengthsFinder assessment, Ron Whitebread’s top themes are Input, Connectedness, Intellection, Maximizer, and Learner. Ron has used these strengths throughout his career – in automotive, energy, technology, and supply chain sectors – to drive his passion for seeking a “better way” for delivering solutions and managing daily work. He is co-founder of the Agile Leadership Network Houston (ALNH) chapter (2008), and he launched both https://lonestaragility.org/ and the first Lone Star Agile Coaches Camp in 2019. After hosting the ALNH meetings – and playing door-to-door Agile salesman at his employer Sysco, Ron was able to promote Agile mindsets and methods both within Sysco – leading up to becoming an Agile Coach, then the Agility Capability Owner of the Agile coaching team. Currently, he is Scrum Master of Sysco’s Cybersecurity teams. Although Ron has achieved A-CSM, A-CSPO, LCP, and KMP certifications, he has also learned that the best solutions are often not prescriptive, but creative.
