Event Details

Developing, deploying and supporting products and solutions is a very complex process. While customers/users may look for development teams to deliver immediate value, the Client is vested in the success of the overall program delivery. This is a complicated and symbiotic integration that is not easily understood, and can result in chaos and organizational challenges.

Come learn about ‘User Centricity’ and the Agile way of working!
We have 3 Agile & User Experience Experts who will share their points of view in 2 distinct parts – 1. From the perspective of the Client and 2.From that of the Users.

(Free Event, with complimentary Pizza/Beverages served during[masked]/Networking time)

Part 1: The Client’s perspective on Agile delivery -Presented by Meenakshi Iyer

While as Agile practitioners, the focus on individuals and interactions, working software, customer collaboration, and on responding to changes makes perfect sense to us, what about the client and their experience? What if the client is new and/or unfamiliar with the Agile way of working? How do we bring this client along on the agile journey? How might we adopt a human-centered approach to create a positive experience for the client? We will explore that in this part of the talk.

Part 2: The User’s perspective on Agile development – Presented by: Linda Sloan and Jim Williams

In this talk we will explore ideas and some proven methods to apply a balanced integration between the Agile and user centered design (UCD) to develop and deliver customer driven solutions. Being truly user-centric is easier said than done, and there are numerous impediments that can become blockers. These challenges can be resolved by mindfully integrating UCD and Agile methodologies. The presenters will help you understand the typical challenges and provide strategies to position UCD at the core of your existing Agile development processes and frameworks.
