Event Details
This workshop explores the machine learning algorithms behind image processing techniques used in Instagram or TikTok filters. Specifically, we’ll use an unsupervised machine learning technique called k-means clustering to generate color palettes from photos.
What you’ll learn
– Introduction to supervised vs. unsupervised machine learning
– An overview of the calculus and linear algebra concepts used in the
k-means clustering algorithm
– Using Python libraries to apply complex algorithms with very few lines
of code
No experience is required to attend! If you’ve had some experience with programming or math in general, there is still a lot to learn from this workshop. This is a no-strings-attached opportunity for you to gain technical knowledge and find out if data science is something you’re passionate about. Just show up, and learn something new!
