Event Details

We will be using the live example of Agile Leadership Network of Houston (ALNH), a registered non-profit in the USA. We intend to explain how using Agility and Agile practices has helped get us organized, especially when operating completely with a team of volunteers.

Learning outcomes
Agile is a mindset, and the applications for it do not need to be limited to a professional work setting, or a particular industry.

Susmitha Vemprala
Susmitha Vemprala is a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC5) and an ICAgile certified Agile practitioner. She is known for her diverse technical and business experience with a proven ability to build effective relationships. As an Agile Coach, she has been responsible for streamlining the Agile processes across Business and Digital Engineering teams while coaching the overall organization to mature into a scaled agile framework. Susmitha has also been a Product Owner of eCommerce and Customer Experience for over 8 years. She also serves on the board of The Agile Leadership Network.

Melissa Betts
Melissa Betts has over 13 years of experience in traditional Project Management. She credits her introduction to the Agile community by a mentor and her former employer Sysco Corporation. Growing within the ALNH organization through volunteering since 2018 and growing as the lead for the ALNH Downtown Coordinator, she is now our serving ALNH President and Agile Coach/Scrum Master consultant. Melissa is a servant leader and enjoys representing such a talented and diverse group.
